Immaculata Titis is a highly motivated individual with a strong biomedical background and vast expertise in the clinical research and pharmaceutical sectors.
She earned a Biomedicine degree from Indonesia International Institute for Life Science in 2019, finishing in the top 5% of her class and obtaining a full scholarship. Her interest in healthcare lead her to explore various subjects, including a course in clinical and interventional oncology completed while studying at Utrecht University in the Netherlands. She has also worked as a Research Assistant at Ehime University in Japan (2019).
Immaculata’s professional experience includes working in Licensing Out and Business Development at PT Kalbe Genexine Biologics, where she finalised multimillion-dollar partnership deals and collaborated with over 40 pharmaceutical companies on the co-development of biologics therapeutics in ASEAN and MENA. Previously, she supervised and managed research activities as a Clinical Research Coordinator, ensuring compliance with rules and ethical standards.
Among Immaculata’s accomplishments are speaking at the “Lead the Fest” Leadership Festival for Youth, and delivering presentations at major conferences. She has received recognition for her research efforts by winning research grants from the Indonesia Ministry of Research and Higher Education. Furthermore, she has represented Indonesia at a number of international events, including ASEAN Youth Ambassador (2019) and Ship for Southeast Asian and Japanese Youth Program (2021).
With her dedication to patient care and vast experience in the healthcare sector, Immaculata Titis continues to make a positive impact as an Angels Initiative consultant.
Her grandfather, who had a history of diabetes, had a stroke when she was a teenager. Unfortunately, due to inadequate facilities, he was bedridden for around 2 years before passing away. Her experiences during her grandfather’s illness fueled her determination to understand and tackle the challenges faced by stroke patients and their caregivers. This personal motivation drives her to adopt effective solutions to improve stroke care and rehabilitation in Indonesia.
Her personal connection to the stroke problem in Indonesia motivates her to push for easily accessible and high-quality care, as well as to increase awareness about stroke prevention and early intervention. Her ultimate objective is to help build an Indonesian healthcare system in which stroke patients receive the greatest possible care and support, allowing them to recover and lead fulfilling lives.
